These artworks, commissioned by D&AD for their 2014 Annual, are inspired by Saigon, and discussions about the identity of design in our city. Our studio has amassed boxes of found printed ephemera. In the process of cataloging and composing this found design, relationships between previously unrelated images formed. Image categories such as typography, animal, pattern, vehicle, and people developed. We later composed these categories into chaotic compositions as information / non-information. These artworks of archived specimens act as inspiration boards, and a sort of homage to countless of unknown hands behind the small pieces of design within.
