Trò Rút Mãi (Stacking Block Game)
Our Mãi Collection extends into objects and games, as we find use for left over cut pieces. We have created a version of the classic stacking brick game, under the name, Trò Rút Mãi (forever pulling game). Not only will this version last forever, we find it to also be a beautiful object. Players take turns removing one block at a time from a tower constructed of 54 blocks. Each block removed is then placed on top of the tower, creating a progressively more unstable structure.
Mãi Collection is made from 100% up-cycled plastic. All pieces are designed by rice studios and hand-crafted by family-owned furniture maker—Minh Chuong, near Ho Chi Minh City. Mãi, the Vietnamese word for “always”, refers to the properties that make these plastic materials great—the Mãi collection will always last—either in this form, or reprocessed into something new.
